My gf has just moved into her private halls in preston and we are looking at the 2 net options they have and they look ******* awful and overpriced.
Its called unite u-want internet and is advertised along the lines of...
Option 1 - 5 times the speed of dial up! - You can browse and send text message on this option. This seems like a crappy 256k connection that you cant even download on?! The price... £180 for the student year
Option 2 - 40 times the speed of dialup! - Same as option 1 however you can "game" and "download" on this one - Sounds like 2 meg and is £350 for the student year!!!
Now to me this sounds like a load of pap. What options does she have? She likes to download mp3's etc so would there be a way to download music on option 1? How about even sending photo's etc via msn?! The price is stupid. She lives in a flat with 6 people with a RJ45 in the wall of each flat. So they are expecting all 6 students to get the net
