Hi folks. Just looking for confirmation that the slot spacing on the Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H will allow for optimal SLI/Xfire whilst housing a PCI-E sound card (Creative SBZ namely)?

The Sound card should be able to go into the very top PCI-E x1 slot.

Yeah it will be fine.

Just looked at the Gigabyte website for the board and it has 3 x PCIE slots for SLi/Xfire. Use the x16 and x8 for optimal. There are also 3 x PCIE x1 slots which will house your soundcard.

The top pci-e X 1 slot is obstructed by a Antec Kuhler 920 rad in the Antec 902 case with that mobo, info for anyone with said case and cooler who wishes to sli / crossfire and use a pci-e sound card although I did just manage to fit a xonar phoebus between the graphics cards.

We need more spacing.

Top slot it blocked by my Thermalright Silver Arrow. Had to put my Xonar DX below my gpu. Not ideal for future SLI setup.
