UD3R bios

bought a gigabyte ex58 ud3r rev1.6
when it came it had an FB bios, i updated it @BIOS and now it says its FA, is this right

FA is the latest official release from Gigabyte for that MB (rev 1.6) - link for your reassurance - look in the orange headed box entitled BIOS.

EDIT: Although i can understand your confusion as your previous BIOS tag would hint at being a newer version - but the FB is not even listed as an option to download on the gigabyte.co.uk or their .com website.

maybe there was something wrong with FB and they just canceled this version.
don't use @BIOS, rather do upgrade under bios setup (Q-Flash) as @BIOS can sometimes cause problems like killing your mobo if your OS is not stable...

cheers, ive never had an issue with @BIOS with giga boards but i take your point,
the acer update killed my laptop briefly.
this board has a dual bios thingy anyway

yeah, dual bios is definitely good thing, totally agree with you. i saw that gigabyte even made short flash movie similar to matrix to promote it
