Looking forward to see how my team, Rangers, do at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, not expecting much but expecting a very long night sadly :( We will no doubt revert to our UEFA Cup run 4-5-1 "anti-football" tactics and hope to sneak a result somehow. Damage limitation at the very least, don't want to start off this seasons campaign with an embarrassing result :)

Chelsea and Arsenal should get their campaigns off to a strong start but it will be interesting to see how Braga approach the Arsenal tie after their strong showing away to Sevilla in the Qualification Stage.

I think Group G should provide some decent matches with it looking like the most exciting group.

So post all thoughts and reactions to the games as they happen and also beforehand :)

Group G is obviously the best group so those games should be pretty good, and judging by current form I wouldn't be completely shocked if Real failed to qualify/qualify top. United should get the business done against Rangers, though it's a potential banana skin. Chelsea, Arsenal and Barca should all win comfortably. All the other games are a bit 'meh' so I don't care either way about those.

ITV. Oh, they joy I can look forward to hacing Clive Tyldesley and Jim Beglin coming out with the same well worn phrases over and over, I'd rather be deaf than have to listen to a match commentated on by those pair of buffoons. :(

Still, at least it's football, I don't see us having a problem against Braga although they did knock out Sevilla to go through to the group stages so we need to be wary, we need to make sure we don't underestimate them and going on our recent performances at Blackburn and again on Saturday against Bolton, I don't think complacency will be a problem. We've just won two games that perhaps last year we wouldn't have won, confidence is high, we're scoring goals and so far so good in regards to goalkeepers, Almunia hasn't dropped an absolute clanger yet so that's a bonus.

What was I saying again? Oh yeah, ITV Football... bleurgh. :(

Braga are a good side, possibly the best opponent in our group, be good to see how we do against them at home, gives us a chance to get the measure of them before we go to their place. :)

Tough one for Spurs, and I expect the other two English teams to win fairly comfortably.

Yeah they are not to be underestimated, I reckon that Shakhtar are a stronger team on paper, but admittedly I haven't really seen much of Braga in the past. Vermaelen will hopefully be back for that game, and along with Sagna and Clichy who were rested on the weekend it should be a decent defense. I prefer Squillaci to start this game alongside Vermaelen, with Koscielny coming on as a sub, Rosicky on the right, Chamakh in the middle and Vela on the left with Arshavin coming on as a later sub and the midfield three of Cesc, Song and Wilshere.

A very tough match for Spurs, Werder Bremen are a good team, though last time I saw them they were getting absolutely thumped by Sampdoria, I guess they must have turned it around and won, that's impressive as they looked completely out of the game when I was watching. Spurs will need to be careful about Bremen, they've got a good, strong midfield with a lot of experience, I'm not sure about their options up front, I think they've still got Hugo Almeida who'll be a threat in the air and if they still have Marin then he's a fairly dangerous player as well, if he plays on the left then I see his pace giving Corluka some problems.

Yeah I'm not sure who's going to be the tougher out of Shaktar and Braga, so I guess it's handy that we'll play them both at home first. :)

Thought Shaktar's pitch might have been synthetic but it's grass, which is nice. Nice looking stadium too, very pretty.

Gotma text from utd today saying tickets are still available for tomorrows game, shame can't get the time off work :(

Still I reckon 3-0 to us, hope barba keeps up his current form

I'd take any score with a clean sheet, our defences needs to get the confidence back. Really hope Neville doesn't play, would like to see Rafael.

Great group really for Arsenal, there should be some very watchable games there. Especially looking forward to the ones against Shakhtar, one of the most entertaining sides around.

oh great, i was looking forward to watching the spurs game but didn't realise manyoo were on sky too. quite obvious which ones pubs are gonna choose :(
