Hopefully at least one of the remaining two players to vote will pick someone other than Chelsea, or we could be in for a boring week :) If that weren't to happen (and all players agreed, which by definition would include the tournament organiser) it might be worth considering a mutual agreement to ban Chelsea and all picking again (given that our selections will all be reset after this round anyway, so effectively we'd have a 'wasted' week otherwise)

If I knew that I would have lumped on the bigger teams earlier :p I've been saving the big guns on the basis there is no reset :p

Also banning a team is a bit strange when we are all wanting through :p
 
Rules

You pick a different Champions League team each round and as long as your selected teams keep winning you stay in the game. The important thing is you cannot pick the same twice. So if you pick Real Madrid one week that's them gone for the rest of the game for you. Once your selected team loses or draws you're out of the game. Any players that are still in the game at the knockout phase will have their selected teams reset. There will be one Champions League edition per season so the game will not re-start unlike the Premier League & Championship versions.

In the event of match involving a team you have selected being postponed or cancelled, you will continue to the next round, however that team will no longer be available for selection. Should the game be played before the conclusion of the current edition and the selected team fails to win, you are eliminated.

Should you forget (or are unable) to make your selection in any round, you will automatically be assigned the first team that you have not previously selected in alphabetical order. Whenever possible I will send reminders via trust email to players that have yet to make their selection within 24 hours of the deadline.

If you fail to select in three consecutive rounds you will automatically be eliminated.

I wouldn't hold it against anyone for 'vetoing' my suggestion and preferring to stick with the official rules should the scenario materialise - it was just an idea because otherwise we'd have to wait until the knockout stage before getting any closer to finding a winner (unless Chelsea don't win then I guess we'd all be joint winners?). Heck I might even veto my own suggestion if the situation comes up as I'd need to weigh up the tactical implications based on what teams different players still had available (e.g. you could pick Barca or MU who are both at home this week, whereas I can't) - it's probably not that great an idea :)

The only concern is if Milan field a weakened team having already qualified.

If that's the case it might be a last minute swap....to Chelsea. :D
 
Milan were poor albeit with a slightly weakened team. :(

I've never seen the San Siro so empty either.

Lets hope Nordsjaelland do me and Silent-Lucidity a favour this evening. Let's face it anything is possible with Chelsea at the moment. :p
