I haven't seen any threads about it yet and was interested on your views on the demo, and if anyone is actually going to buy it.

its made by EA so it won't be terribly good. Fifa 07 is appauling. I have heard the people making road to world cup 06 are doing this and it might be better, but still won't be better than pro evo 6. However I'm gonna try it out for the card game.
 
Graphics are nice but playing the demo IMO the gameplay is nowhere near as good as PES6...shame Pro Evo can't get the licenses for a while :(
 
I know this isn't 08, it's CL, but here's a few improvements on 07:

* Much better graphics. The game presentation is great, it almost feels like your actually watching a CL league game on TV. Commentary has improved as well.

* Clear, authentic chants from the crowd.

* Power bar for passing. So, now you can actually pass the ball longer than 10 yards, without it being intercepted.

* Better reactions from the GK. They've also fixed the slide tackles, so the player goes for the ball and not the player.

* Ultimate Team Mode. Sounds fun, but seems very mind-boggling.

It's not going to be the next best thing, but it's certainly an improvement. I know FIFA 07 wasn't and isn't a great game, but what I don't understand is all the hate around it because you can't perform tricks, which is a pretty petty reason to hate a game.

I don't know why they would include a domestic league when the game is specifically revolved around the CL. However in one of those videos it shows teams like Watford, Villa, Newcastle and so on. So maybe you get to qualify with teams that didn't last year.

For the camera angle you do know you can change it in the full game :p EA make there demo really annoying controls are locked, out and Camera angles.
 
I'm not a big lover of football myself but I thought this was brilliant! I was really disappointed when the 45 minutes were up. The music gave me goosebumps and hearing Clive Tyldesley was a nice touch.

If I could just work out the controls a bit better, I'm sure I'd love this even more! I can't seem to work out how to do a goal shot!
 
graphics on the screenshots are something else, if pro evo comes up with those graphics in pro evo 7 and creates some new celebrations instead of team-mates humping each other, it would be unstoppable.
 
I thought I'd give the demo a whirl and tbh it's not that bad. I don't like the idea of the ultimate team though, mainly due to you beaing able to buy players off marketplace, that's if I heard/read it correctly. If I have bought a game then I don't want to to spend more money to extra stuff.

I don't think that is strictly true. I think you have to unlock them playing Challenge Mode, but not sure if that's right. You can also trade players with other people over Live.

You get a card trading system where you get a certain set and then you can trade to get better players for your squad. None of it you have to pay for also you get a sticker book what you can fill up if you want.

Ultimate Team Mode:
Build your Ultimate Team by collecting player, staff and gameplay cards then foster Team Chemistry through effectively organising your squad. Accumulate Staff, Training, Morale, Fitness and Healing cards to gain the tactical edge, then deal killer Gameplay cards at key moments during a match. Trade online your unwanted cards or trawl the market for the ones you need to complete your title-winning team.

I thought the graphics were worse than 07! It looked more like WC then 07. The presentation was nice though.

The ball also didn't seem to move as fast. Almost treacle like.
