Quarter-final draw:

Basle v MIDDLESBROUGH
Rapid Bucharest v Steaua Bucharest
Levski Sofia v Schalke 04

Semi-final draw:

Levski Sofia or Schalke 04 v Sevilla or Zenit St Petersburg
Rapid Bucharest or Steaua Bucharest v Basle or MIDDLESBROUGH

Basle will be tough (and bloody expensive) but if they get through it I can see the Boro winning this  and

Rapid and Steaua will be a tight game.

I can really see Boro keeping their run going here. Fingers crossed for them :)

I think Schalke and Sevilla were the sides they needed to avoid.

It would be nice to see Boro win it, but like Gilly says, if they come up against Sevilla or Schalke they'll have to be on their game to beat them.

Fingers crossed for some English success in Europe this year.

About to sort my flights to basle for this. Looking forward to it. Only two weeks away as well :)

Won't be a easy game, especially the first leg since both Boateng and Cattermole are suspended.

Try the Swissotel , decent enough digs and a cracking lapdancing bar tagged onto it.

Seems most the hotels are fully booked since these a Jewellers convention that week. So could well be a booking hotels in Zurich or Geneva and using the train. About an hour between Zurich and Basle which isn't too bad.

Will check out that Swisshotel place first thou.

If you need more info on a decent place to stay in Zurich, let me know as both my brothers are based over there at the moment. They might even be able to find somewhere reasonable to crash in Basel as well.

The train to Basel from Zurich is a good journey as well, the trains are always on time and you travel through some great scenery on a double decker train, not bad at all mate and Basel is a pretty decent place, with a fair few bars all over the place, although they are expensive.

Good luck. :)

Might have to get back to you then once the club have announced ticket plans. We've only being allocated 1500 tickets and I suspect that as with past games where we've had such a small allocation we might have to go on the club travel option to be guranteed a ticket. Which means only a one day trip. :( Which would be a shame since I wouldn't mind spending a few more days in Switzerland.

Part of me wants them to go all the way and the other part doesn't.

If Boro should lift the UEFA cup, then McClaren's chances of getting the England job will surely rise. I just don't want that! :(
