UEFA Euro 2008

I don't know how I missed this one being announced at the beginning of the month.

What are peoples thoughts on this? Do you think the gameplay will differ much as it is being developed by EA Canada, same people who did FIFA 08. Maybe there will be some slight tweaks.

Or is it just a reskin of FIFA 08 to make some more cash for EA?

I guess it will be like last years champions league game, minor tweaks. Id be more than happy if they just make it a bit more responsive, up the speed a little and tweak headers, its not far from being a superb game as it is.

ill probably give it a rent or something. Liked FIFA08 so if its just a reskin of that it wont be too bad. As i say though i doubt it'd be worth a purchase.

Wont be getting this unless it has a ridiculous amount of national teams in it like WC2006 had. Still got so much to see in FIFA08 myself.

I'm sure our failure to qualify will hit sales of this game pretty hard. Luckily, i will just ignore that and add the team in regardless, and have a party when we win the Euro

Probably will be the case. Reskinned basically to milk the cash cow.

At least the champions league version had that card collecting system to it, something like that would spark some more interest from me. Did anyone ever play that game?

I played the demo but hated it. Wasn't it based on the FIFA 07 engine? I think that is why I hated it so much.

Yeah the engine was 07 but I just wondered how the how building a team thing panned out. Makes things more interesting than go win the euro cup, go win it again and again without other comps/modes.

Wouldn't of given a EA football game second look until FIFA 08 came out so may check this out. Will try the demo first though.

i played the champions league game and it was alright. the card thing was a little difficult to understand to be honest and was quite frustrating. just a gimmick, wouldnt want it to be included in another game.
