If you're talking about the main retailer, it's because they don't have a friendly deal with EA Games, as a result it's nearly always £49.99 for EA Games (even Skate. is still £50).

They'll be back for Fifa 09, I'm sure. ITV are the broadcasters of UEFA 2008, so it got their commentary team :).
 
Well gutted England are out playing Captain your Country in Quarter Finals. :(

Lovely ball from Rooney for me to slot home we had the game in our hands and it was going all so well until 70th minute. Austria all of a sudden decide to push and the momentum swung to them they scored from cross and that how it finished 1-1 after extra time.

Goes to penalty i put myself as the 3rd kick tacker and to cut long story short i missed followed by Gerrard and Beckham and out on penaltys we went. :(

Got Golden boot though so some consolation going to play mode with friend later it really is superb just so good creating player building stats up as go along. It not without its niggles though AI can do silly balls and sometimes pass it out of play they also do to many twists and turns and tend to overplay the ball abit. Also they tend to under weight high passes but on flip side they can pull off some great through balls so its rather mixed bag.

Edit: Oh and Portugal won the Tournament beat Italy 3-1. :)

Refs are muppets on this, almost everytime i do a sliding tackle & win the ball the other team gets a free kick!
 
I have some vouchers for a local trade shop, but they don't always have new games. If they have this in I will pick it up. Not going to go spending any money on it though.
 
i love the game played loads but can't get online at all with it, keeps saying EA servers not available

Anyone getting same problem
 
im still not sure weather i should get this??? ive got fifa 08 but after playing the demo of this it seemed a lot better , has anyone got it and how do they rate it?

I can see people's point with not wanting to part with £40 to buy it as it is only has little refinements from FIFA 08 but I think it is better than 08 so I splash the cash!

Awesome game, really loving it so far!
 
Captain your country mode is good fun but some of the players play absolute spastic chipped passes to you.

I'm enjoying it so far though.
 
how does the camera work in this mode if your playing 2-4 players? does it track the ball cause that would be annoying for someone playing as a defender I would imagine.
