I think it takes the mick that England can't pick players from the 1st team i.e ross barkley and Sterling is shocking imagine the experience they would get Spain, German and most Europe teams let there under 21s play that's why they are ahead of us.

That was a nice goal from Lingard though.

Also have to agree that the players who could play for the U21's but aren't there should be really. Them playing in this competition (including the qualifiers) could have been excellent experience ahead of next summers European competition and the next world cup. These players should want to get all the international experience they can can.
