UEFI unresponsive

Hi. Trying to do a new install of Windows 10 over my current Linux Mint, and noticed that when I go into UEFI the mouse and keyboard are lagging so much. I've tried taking the battery out, flashing the BIOS but running out of what else I can try?

Once I let it boot up fully (which is also slow) everything seems to work fine.

Motherboard: Asus A85XM-A

No, they're wired and I've tried them in different USB ports.

Not that I can remember, but I only went into it a couple of times when I first built it a couple of years ago.

The mouse barely moves at all just slight movements every few seconds or so if at all. The keyboard is slightly better but also takes a few seconds to register inputs or I have to use the command again.
