I read somewhere that one of Asus's older mobos has been redesigned to feature EUFI to go with the new Intel CPUs... any chance consumers will be able to do that themselves in the future... IE, could I revamp my Asus P6X58D-E?

well Asus are starting to do it i emailed them asking if they where going to do it for the Sabertooth x58 and they say its in the works

also they already did it for there pQe board ;)

I think ASUS seems to be the only manufacturer currently implementing UEFI on their boards. I looked at a list of boards that currently supported it a while ago and the majority were made by asus.

Well this sounds like good news - I saw a LinusTechTips video where he was casually using one of the new boards in the background and the interface looked SWEEET!

The only reason I asked is because I want to play with the new interface now, but I won't be upgrading until 2011 boards come out... I bet they're going to be expensive :(
