Am goin for a Cro Cop win, hopefully a left leg to the temple of Frank.

I honestly do think he has a chance against Frank, Mirko's not as fast as he used to be and he's not half as bad on the ground as people think.

MIRKO ***!!

One of the best cards on paper in a long time.

Frank Mir vs. Cro Cop
Antônio Rogério Nogueira vs. Ryan Bader
Matt Serra vs. Chris Lytle
Sean Sherk vs. Evan Dunham - Depends on what Sherk shows up, boxing Sherk (lose) or wrestling Sherk (win).
Melvin Guillard vs. Jeremy Stephens

CroCop's defensive grappling is massively underrated, and unless he comes into the octagon thinking about fishing he will a huge advantage in the striking department. Mir has one combination to boot and if CroCop figures it out it will be a long night for Mir. We all know Prime CC would absolutely trash Mir but we have seen him decline ever since the OWGP in 2006, lets hope he can find a little bit of confidence and form and we can see another highlight reel KO.

Feels like a no-brainer.

Frank Mir vs. Cro Cop
Antônio Rogério Nogueira vs. Ryan Bader
Matt Serra vs. Chris Lytle
Sean Sherk vs. Evan Dunham
Melvin Guillard vs. Jeremy Stephens

Frank Mir vs. Cro Cop - Cro Cop - Heart over head pick, hoping that Mirko can turn back the hands of time a bit and nail Mir with the LHK of doom. Picking the fight apart, as long as the fight is standing, Cro Cop has the advantage, his striking is better than that of Mir, however the gap isnt as great as it once was and Mir is a dangerous striker these days. I dont think Mir has the wrestling to get this to the ground, especially as Cro Cops' sprawl is legendary, so the only way this is going to the ground is if Mir catches Cro Cop, and theres a chance of that. If it gos the ground, its over, Mir is taking an apendage home, but for old times sake, War Mirko Filipovic!

Antônio Rogério Nogueira vs. Ryan Bader - Bader - Big step up for Bader, however I think he has the wrestling to stifle little Nog and ground out a decision win. Don't think its going to be pretty, but as long as Bader sticks to his wrestling and doesnt try and strike with Nog then its a paycheck and a win bonus for him.

Matt Serra vs. Chris Lytle - Serra - Amazed that everybody is picking Lytle for this. Don't get me wrong, Lytle is a tough dude, and always game, but I see Serra with the advantage whereever this fight ends up. As we all know, Serra has heavy hands and fight changing power in his stand up, and his ground game is enough to give Lytle fits, I just cant see a way for Lytle to win this one.

Sean Sherk vs. Evan Dunham - Dunham - As other people have said, this all depends on the Sean Sherk that shows up, if he tries to box with his little T-Rex arms again then its going to be a very one sided fight, however if he returns to his wrestling roots and uses his dominant top game then its a harder night for Dunham. I'm picking Dunham mainly because I don't think Sherk is the fighter he used to be, and because I feel he has too much faith in his stand up.

Melvin Guillard vs. Jeremy Stephens - Stephens - This fight has KO of the night written all over it, both of these guys can seriously bang. Picking Stephens because he is much better at taking a shot, and although I think Melvin will catch him, I see Stephens weathering an early storm and taking Guillard out.

As much as I want Cro Cop to show us those pride glory days you can just tell he wants too collect 1-2 more Pay packets from the ufc and try for a bonus for that night and retire, I see Frank Mir just out striking him but yeah will be tough fight still.

Cro Cop Would have lost if Pat had not broke his hand and foot last time round, he knew something was wrong with Pat during that fight so went for it otherwise it would have been the cautious cro cop that we have seen for the past 1-2 years....

I want too see Frank mir win and then take some Revenge on Carwin/Brock :)

CroCop got poked in the eye really badly about 2 days ago, he might not even be able to pass the medical, he's wearing an eye patch and saline drip up until then.

Cro Cop is patheticly past it. I'd be amazed if he beats Mir. As said before, he only beat HD because he was too busy touching gloves and kissing Mirko's ass. Mir by KO.

Pat Barry broke his hand and foot though and during the fight Cro cop said why have you stopped fighting back and Pat said, my hands broken to him.... during the fight !

There was nothing Pat Barry could do but fight with heart and honor and not quit which is what his corner told him to do.

There was some lovely shots of his hand and foot which had swollen up to 2-3x the size after wards.

Cro Cop never recovered after this.......

So who fights Mir if Cro-Cop fails the medical?

Gonzaga's not fighting until 23rd October.
JDS is unscheduled for any fights and hasnt fought since August 7th. Fight commission bans unknown obviously.
Carwin hasnt fought since early July.

Cant see any of those guys stepping up though, too high profile (bar Gonzaga really).

Get Couture in, I'd happily watch him vs Mir. He took no damage whatsoever in his last fight, and normally keeps himself in shape between fights.

That wouldnt be a bad shout actually. Mir would just pull guard and work off his back i suspect though. Its an interesting situation. Cant see someone like Mike Russow making the step up just yet?
