I think Brock will take Cain to the floor and that will be that.

I picked Thiago because, as said above, Sanchez looked horrible in his last fight AND he likes to stand and bang where possible.

Thiago has genuine KO power, and general pretty good standup so if this fight stays on the feet I don't like Diegos chances.

According to a few reports Brock is already at 265, so no cutting required. His size shouldn't be anywhere near to that of his previous bouts. Doesn't bode well for him imo.

Fair points people, I am hoping Sanchez is back to his best. I know BJ battered him but he didn't stop him until late in the fight from a cut.

I'd prefer to see Sanchez go for the takedown and gnp, he has great grappling. He only survived Marcello Garcia in a grappling match, losing on points.

Is a good fight, can't wait.

He will still be noticeably bigger than Cain though, and afaik he was the same for his last fight against Carwin.

Thiago does have KO power, but Diego has one of the best chins in the division. He got tagged by BJ early in the first round of his fight but managed to hang in there and fight through, again in round 4 he took that big headkick but wasn't KO'd or too rocked. BJ has great power too, one of the few men to stop Sean Sherk.

Diego also took that huge knee from Hathaway and stayed concious, Stephan Bonnar said that he had never heard a connection so solid and the guy not go unconcious.

Personally, I don't really feel BJ has massive power in his standup. For me, it's more of an accumulation of damage that he puts on over 3-5 rounds that finishes guys. I don't recall him finishing someone with a single shot recently? Sherk for example, got pumelled for 4 rounds before eventually going down.

Diego is one of those guys for me that is a little small for 170, but probably takes too much of a cut to get to 155. That results in him being a little overwhelmed at times (ala Koscheck or Fitch and even Hathaway) by bigger buys. Thiago is quite a big 170'er with good standup and solid BJJ. Even if Sanchez can get it down, he could feasibly still be in trouble, whereas if he keeps it standing he's going to have to cope with a bigger, stronger puncher.

I don't really see how Sanchez wins that fight, but that's what makes MMA so interesting to watch! Should be a real FOTN contender either way. I'll be back on after to eat Crow after Sanchez wins :p

On another note, can't wait to hear what Titos excuses are if he gets beaten by Hamill. I'm fully expecting the ol' "My back was still injured" again, even though he has already been spouting how much better it is after surgery.

Is anyone actually looking forward to seeing Jake Shields' UFC debut??

I mean I know Dana was well chuffed to swipe him from Strikeforce while he was still champion but I cant remember seeing him in too many exciting fights!! :(

I think it was more about getting someone in at 170 who they can sell a main event with GSP. As he had cleaned out the division, having someone new who was a Strikeforce Champion is something they can market.

I want them to sign Nick Diaz back up!

I'm looking forward to shields, he's not overly exciting but he is an excellent fighter.

Good to see Paul Taylor on the card too, although Sam Stout will be a very tough fight.

Jake Shields is very exciting to see in the UFC. He normally fights at 170lbs but went up to 185lbs in Strikeforce to capture the belt. He then controlled and beat Hendo who has fought at 205lbs. I find Shields amazing
