UFC 61

Im really looking forward to it, shame its not tonight though.

I want Ken to beat Ortiz but i can't see it happening, Ortiz is a great fighter and will probably out power Shamrock. however Shamrock will be training his ass off so he doesn't look like a fool and i reckon it will be close.

If anyone is interested the main fights are on dailymotion.

This is going to be a busy thread after it's been on bravo...

If Liddell beat Babalu at UFC 62, he gets to fight Wanderlei Silva, which should be a classic. :)

TUF4 gets underway in August, featuring Randy Couture and Georges St Pierre as the coaches, with the contestants being previously established UFC fighters, on the comeback trail.

Chuck Liddell vs Wandy Silva maybe the biggest fight of all time, at least since Cro Cop vs Fedor. Apparently none of the ufc crowd even cared... :(

I wouldn't look past Babalu though, he's excellent. Shame the ufc don't allow kicks and knees to the head on a downed oppenent, thats half of Wandys offence gone, and probably the main reason why his matches are so intense.

watched it earlier. thumbs down from me

Dont say that. I have managed to completely avoid it since saturday, which has meant staying out of lots of forums and avoiding lots of people :(

Im pretty excited though.

I avoided this thread on purpose, I've just watched the Ken Tito fight which is the only one I'm interested in, what a dissapointment, the referees a ******...

Me too, I'm disappointed with the way the Shamrock fight ended but I can't fault the referees decision. Shamrock was not defending himself at all and a lot of damage could have been done if it wasn't stopped. He also looked a bit dazed when he got up but it did surprise me that he did get straight up as if to say 'what? nothing wrong with me'.

Another fight is probably on the cards but Ken Shamrock will really need to up his game if he wants to beat Ortiz, I may not like the guy, but he can fight.

After that there was no clear winner, Ken was no doubt slightly rocked and at the time he didn't have his hands up and all 5 elbows hit but there was no need to stop it IMO. Definetely worthy of a rematch.

Some people are saying the ref shouldn't have stopped it, all that would have happened would have been more unanswered elbows till Ken was out cold. It was obvious from this fight and the first Tito is too big and strong for him.

Biggest waste of an evening. I cant even be bothered to write anything. What the hell was Arlovski doing

Best fight was the 1st. How much blood !!!?? :p

i predict blood and roaring. lots.

well, for 1 fight i was right.
expected it to be an expolsive night, but it never happened. can understand the stoppage in shamrock v ortiz, shamrock would have been busted open and would have been a right mess if it went on longer.

poor event tho imo :/

Last night the Arlovski v Sylvia match just confirmed something to me. None of them would stand a chance against Fedor.

Also Liddel vs Silva. Now that I really do look forward too.

The first fight was good, but the others were really disappointing.
I'm going to miss the UFC stuff now that Ultimate fighter has finished, might have to get some Pride dvd's or something to keep me going .
