Jones vs Matyushenko is on live tonight! Will be shown live on ESPN 2am til 4am.

Main card is as follows....

Jon Jones vs Vladimir Matyushenko - Jones is the next big thing in the LHW division, he has run right through everyone so far. I think Matyushenko will be his biggest test to date but I still see Jones getting a TKO either late in round 1 or round 2.

Mark Munoz vs Yushin Okami -Okami is far to well rounded and versatile for Munoz's wide open fighting style. Yushin is also a great wrestler and a huge middleweight so I can't see Munoz's wrestling being to much of an issue.

John Howard vs Jake Ellenberger - John Howard has looked great in his last few fights wth big KO power, Jake Ellenberger is a tough cookie too though. I think Howard will land a big power punch to finish the fight, if that doesn't happen I see Ellenberger getting a decision.

Tyson Griffin vs Takanori Gomi - Gomi looked out of his depth vs Kenny Florian and I see much of the same happening in this fight vs Tyson. Tyson will out work Gomi and get an eventual TKO.

Agree with your picks, was going to sit up and watch it but can't be bothered tonight.

Jones has taken a pretty easy fight with Matyushenko who's only real asset is his wrestling, and I think Jones edges that with the explosiveness of his own wrestling. I see Jones running through him and continuing to take easy fights and headline B level cards for the rest of the year. Nothing against Jon Jones, it makes sense to bring him on slowly as he is only 23(!) and despite his impressive form so far he still has a long way to go. Hopefully we'll see some improved positioning from him on the ground, as if he keeps leaving his arms out the way he has been previously he is begging to be armbarred or triangled.

Okami is a very solid fighter, great wrestling for a Japanese fighter, tonnes of experience, can see this one going his way pretty early on after he saps Munoz's will and grinds a TKO stoppage.

Ellenberger has great wrestling, and if he can get the fight to the ground and keep it there then its going to be a rough night for Howard, however I think at some point he is going to get caught on the way in, or Howard will stuff his takedown for long enough to land a shot and Ellenberger will drop.

Unfortunately the fireball kid has lost his flame, he was out classed by Ken Flo on the feet, he looked slow, he had no cardio... unless he has made some drastric improvements since then I dont see him having much a chance. I think Griffin will take the fight to the ground early on to sap the energy from Gomi, and then in the 2nd and 3rd will keep it standing, slowly but surely picking him apart.

Not a bad card in all honesty :)
Every fight went more or less the way I thought it would although I wasn't quite expecting the outcome of Griffin v Gomi (thought it would have been a lot closer)
