I dunno how many still play/have played this (tis a rather good "pause and plan" rts) but it's causing me huge problems on the quad core now. On my laptop where i've generally played it before it occasionally has problems (it doesn't seem to like multicore CPU) but the desktop is unplayable.

Was just wondering if anyone else had beaten the same issue? When you unpause after planning the game hangs, it will occasionally let you get control back if you hit stop, change a few bits to your teams plan and go again or that + don't look at your team while they start moving... tis a problem thats rather tricky to get ones finger on.

Patched to 1.7 of course and i'm getting task manager up and turning off all cores but cpu0 on the affinity list. Still dies just as much.

Will double check the graphics can't be set to something it likes better but if not i'm going to have to put together a lowish end single-core box from spares etc to finish it :( (yes I think it's that good :p).
