Anyone remember this game? I just rediscovered it today, classic gaming! And the way it actually manages to be scary when your guys are being mind-controlled by aliens, especially in the city battles at night.
Awesome fun :)

Anyone else remember it? Anyone still play?

scary as hell game :)

the music when you get into an air battle is awesome :D, along with Day of the Tentacle, the first pc games i owned

-never finished this tho, might dig it out

do you have to run it in dosbox?

I actually had some problems with crashes, so ended up downloading an abandonware version. (I dont think its against forum to say that, right?)

Great fun, anyway :) Have played a few hours in a new game today. I just got plasma rifles :D (Lots of scientists are the key!!)

I loved UFO:EU and TFTD and still play them quite often. A graphics update would be awesome for these classics. Completed UFO several times but never been able to complete TFTD though as I found the research to be a bit more random so never was able to research what ever was needed for the last mission to become available.

Nah, the old school graphics are part of the attraction! Plus it means it plays on my ancient laptop, so I can fight aliens in front of top gear. (Yeah, I'm sad.)

I never managed to complete it :( Have high hopes for this time though

Never had any trouble with the research bug when I played TFTD. I have completed it several times with all the best kit.

For me UFO Apocolypse was the best. The realtime aspect of it was really good.

You all keep mentioning this but I never played it - is it worth having a look at after I finish Enemy Unknown, or is it pretty much the same?
