Pete is clearly employed by one of the sub-contractors doing the leg work for BT/Fuji or whoever got the York contract in the end, so might know more than us lot about the plans given their workload for the next few years would be known up-front.

Probably starting off 300mb like they are now in some areas.
Agree with someone above that it won't be symmetrical. Will be FTTH though.
They have TalkTalk, Sky and will soon have VirginMedia to compete with so they can't just sit back and do nothing.

peterattheboro you're going to have to back your claims up with something a bit stronger than "let's see". BT have been pretty clear that their roadmap is G.fast and not FTTP in the short term.
A Sky/TalkTalk trial in York doesn't position them as a serious competitor yet, any more than Gigaclear and Hyperoptic are.
