I wonder now with a few days gone past since its been proved fake, whether Lysander is still convinced that it was real.

Why should he?
The people who first 'shot this' haven't said it's fake so Lysander can still hold on to his shoddy beliefs.
Even if they did say it was fake Lysander can then say they were pressured into saying it.
He wins every time.
