I need to find a way to get:

tftport5jx.jpg

That, to allow input from my video card.

Basically, that's the port on the end of my laptops screen, which is the screen i want to somehow have my pc outputting too.

Any ways this can be done? :(

Help would be appreciated, thanks :)

Still no replies :(

Is there any way to re-wire this to get it working rather than having a convertor? It's just a shame to throw away a perfectly good screen when there's a chance i could do something with it.

Only advice would be to try asking for help on a forum more geared toward modding and case building. Someone must have done it before.

I read about this a few years ago (sorry can't remember any links) but there is more to it than just an adaptor. if it's for a mod IIRC the cost was prohibitive. cheaper to buy a monitor

you cant just mod the connector, all the processing for the monitor is built onto the motherboard. you would need a vga input and then you would need to mod the signal to adapt to the lcd.

ive got a 15" laptop lcd here. i was trying to do the same thing but you cant without a costly interface.
