The Intel controllers are surprisingly good, the writes were never going to be as fast as a dedicated controller, but still much faster than previous generation onboard solutions
 
Bleh, I cancelled the transfer to benchmark it. The direct write test is destructive and I'm not removing my partitions again lol, but the file write test gave some nice results.

Oh I see what you mean lol. iirc, there's a limit of 2Tb drive visibility on Win32 apps.
It seems that way, My 4Tb array is reported as 2199Gb by HDTune as well, the nice thing is it skews the access time tests since none all the accesses are in the bottom half of the array :)
