Ok, I am moving to NY next year and want, if I can to keep my save games and so on.

I am hoping that I can jam the HD in to a US xbox and all will be well.

I know that I wont be able to change the address on my live account but I can carry on using it as long as there is credit on it.

I'll just buy 2 12 month cards and thats sorted out.

I guess worst case I can take the 360 with me and use some kind of power converter...

Yeah I have both a UK and a US 360 and I just switch my 120GB drive between the two. You can simply get a US 360 PSU and use that on your UK box.

If you did want to keep your UK Live account going you just need to buy the subscription cards from an auction site or whatever.

Spot on guys :)

Thats exactly what I want to do, I have a lot of save games, will the US games "see" the save games I have?

I plan on buying the games again when I get out there.

You could probably take a lot of the games with you if you check out which ones are region free and which ones aren't. A large percentage of UK games are region free so they'll work on a US box no problems at all.

All EA games are region locked though, so forget about them.

Don't worry about the TV standard - it doesn't really come into play anymore as the console itself decides the output format. All UK games state PAL and all US games state NTSC.

If you Google for "Xbox 360 region compatibility" you'll find a few lists out there that'll tell you :)
