UK Airport Parking

Flying from Manchester I always use the meet and greet parking you can find on their airport website. The one thing I don't cheap out on is airport parking - many horror stories of people having their cars stored in farmers fields/used as Taxis just so the owner can save £20.

Yep I will always use the offical ones. This particular time I'll be using the valet / meet and greet one at Birmingham.

Just wondering if there's some website I wasn't aware of that saves a little bit?

sometimes see articles in the papers about people going on holiday, using one of these airport parking services and then an employee rally your car around whilst your on holiday.

unless you live no where near the airport then its probably more convenient to just get a taxi that drops you off at the main entrance imo

one of the ramifications of parking services I'd never considered - the top level parking lot that went up in Portugal, the cars had been parked real close which helped fire spread
(from the electric or ICE vehicle that started it) I never heard with the Luton blaze if they all claimed on patient zero, or how the claims panned out.

TBH its all a lottery
We use valet parking every holiday trip and know they will be going off site for storage, we have never had more than the miles expected added. We mainly fly from Gatwick and its normally said it will be upto 10 miles away, so 20 max.

However the other half had her car mashed in Stansted parking overnight (to her credit the woman who mashed it left details on windscreen) and someone else I know had their car written off in the most expensive Heathrow parking on site.

There is probably more chance of parking damage in on airport parking where the general public are trying to navigate and park often tired after late flights or early mornings, than safely sat in a nice field 10 miles away ;)

I would never trust the off site parking at any airport. I always just use the on site login stay car parks, keep my key and catch the shuttle bus to the terminal

When flying from Manchester (it's always T2 as we only go abroad snowboarding) I've just used the official T2 West multi-storey - plenty wide bays, feels secure, 5 mins walk to the terminal, only 100 quid for a week. I'd never hand my keys over to someone else.

The official ones.
This we've used both Manchester and Edinburgh Fast Park
Both a breeze :D Think we paid around a tenner a day each time, left the keys there as well.

I've used third party sites that gave free fast pass security before, but with travelling with kids you normally get booted to the family lines anyway.
Think its summit to do with the kids passports not working on the machines or summit

You can sometimes find hotels where it's cheaper to book a room the night before and leave your car there for the week, they'll even drop you at the airport.
Flying to San Fran tomorrow evening from Heathrow, we've booked the night after we come back and 2 weeks parking in the Radisson (not the Blu) and we park the car in the hotel carpark and get to keep our keys for less than £300.

For Heathrow T4, for a week or less, park at Hounslow West station and take the Tube. For over a week, use Justpark and park one someone's driveway.
For Gatwick, park at Three bridges station and take the train.
For Stansted, park at Radisson and take the Shuttle bus. Return and pay at Reception.
For Luton, use Holidayextras and then book with Airparks. They shuttle you to the airport for free but sometimes there can be a wait.

That seems like a lot of faffing about when you can just use one of the terminal car parks for 100 quid for a week and walk to the terminal in 5 mins.

I don't understand people trying to save what, 70 quid on parking when they've just laid out 5k for a holiday.....

lol. Heathrow is something like £100/day!
Ultimately, it's your money.
