uk.com domain registrar

Hi Guys,

Can anyone recommend a Domain host/registrar who can handle .uk.com domains?

I had a quick search and can see this question has been asked before but mainly for top level domains (.co.uk, .com). When I talked to places like register1 they say thay can offer hosting on uk.com but not give me any DNS control through the control panel

Is there any host that can do hosting and registrar services and offer me full control of the nameservers / mx records on .uk.com domains?

Unfortunately a lot of places wont as uk.com domains are not TLD's.
I guess it's the price you pay for using an SLD instead.
You should be able to if nothing else change the Name Server information for the domain in question.
Only real option as I can see would be to find a friend with a reseller account of similar, point the domain at their name servers and create you a basic level account which would at least allow you to create & alter a Zone file for the domain.

I think for someone to give you mx records for a .uk.com, they would need to host it, so doubt anyone does that, maybe go daddy?

Enom register the domains, can change nameservers to point to a cheap host, then change mx records there!

Was nearly tempted to go with 123-Reg but have read very mixed reports about them recently.

Found these guys very helpfull and knowledgable and with keenly priced packages and domain control on uk.com domains I am going to give them a try http://www.daily.co.uk/

I always use 123-reg (not for hosting, mind) - I've never had problems :confused:

I use 123-reg also but only as a holding company for all of my domains.
I have a reseller account where I host all of my domains and simply point the name server settings on each domain to my reseller account and look after the Zone files there.

I just remembered that 123-reg offer quite a good Control Panel and it has DNS control.
I think I would be tempted to use them for your uk.com
