Hi all!

I just moved from the UK to the US and brought my UK desktop computer with me. It won’t boot or turn on at all, and I suspect it’s because the PSU (Corsair VS350) isn’t geared to accept American voltage. Can anyone help confirm this for me before I go and purchase a new PSU?

I says on the label that it’s expecting a minimum of 200V.

I believe 240V outlets do exist out there, but usually only for high power devices like tumble driers. For a standard 120V outlet you’ll need a new PSU.

That is kind of unlucky - most of the PSUs I've bought in years have had auto-switching ~110v and ~230v ranges.

Most US properties in my experience have a ~240v outlet somewhere but usually in a utility room or in the walk in closet for air-conditioning unit, etc.
