So this little lot landed on my desk yesterday.

It arrived direct from Corsair and is the only Dominator GT kit in the UK. I've been lucky enough to get this exclusive so I thought it would be nice to share :D

The following will not be an exhaustive, comparitive review - more like a quick test but I hope you find it interesting.

Its noteworthy that the kit I have for review is a sample, NOT a full retail boxed release so please bear in mind that the RTM product is likely to surpass results in this review.

Introduction:

"The DOMINATOR-GT is the ultimate performance solution within the DOMINATOR product line. Limited to only extremely high memory speeds, the Corsair DOMINATOR-GT only uses highly screened IC’s to guarantee performance and over-clockability. Using ultra efficient Dual-path Heat Xchange (DHX) cooling technology, the DOMINATOR-GT modules also ship with the Airflow Fan to maximize heat transfer away from the modules– all the while being stable and reliable. With removable heat sinks, the DOMINATOR-GT modules can even be outfitted with additional upcoming accessories with enhanced features."

"Very few components make it into the DOMINATOR family. Even fewer are hand selected to build the DOMINATOR-GT. Corsair’s team of engineers run extensive and exhaustive in-house testing and qualification with the premium performance motherboards used by overclockers and ultra enthusiasts.

This unique combination of over-clocking performance testing and guaranteed reliability and compatibility coupled with a limited lifetime warranty, make the DOMINATOR-GT - the cream of the crop, and... the ultimate solution for the ultra enthusiast and overclocker."

So its quick then :D

The above was all done on the P6T Deluxe......Rampage and i7 965EE findings will be uploaded here soon. The eagle eyed readers may have noticed it EASILY hit 2000MHz @ stock Voltage (1.65V) ;)

As I said, no mammoth analysis - just thought I'd share until I get time over the weekend to post more results. I'll add them here over the coming days on this OP.

Let me know what you think ;)

Special thanks on behalf of OcUK to Neil and Gareth at Corsair.

Corsair imo need to work on their packaging, every i7 build log ive seen with corsair ram its the same grey box\airbag combo. You'd think the ram would at least be positioned (taped) between the airbags nad not pressed into the bottom of the box.

Its not available yet mate...as I explained in the OP....its a sample, NOT retail packaged. ;)

tut tut - messy case!!!

looks like it cost $1 on the invoice

thats cheap for high performance ddr3

cant wait to try this stuff out!!!

would look awesome in the evga classified/foxconn bloodrage boards

will be interesting to see how these modules perform against the 2000mhz kingston kits

especially on a price/performance basis

Challenge on!! :D

Re-casing in a TJ07B Black/ Windowed this week....the Eclipse needs a holiday ;)

Maybe not but all corsair ddr3 ive seen in new builds come packaged the same way, grey box with 2 airbags inside it.

With performance like this...seriously mate...who gives a stuff about the packaging :D Thats like complaining that the guy who delivered your new Ferrari was wearing a tie that wasn't quite straight lol :D

I was after the 7-8-7-20@2000 kit a couple of weeks ago but I missed out as they were sold out in 3 Mins flat , at the same time they released the kit I got which are 8-8-8-24@2000 which has also sold out but was available for a couple of days , they are struggling to produce these top end kits in any quantity.

Ah, so you went direct :D

This kit is the 1866 but its running at 2000MHz @ 8-7-8-20 1.65V :D:cool:

how much these gunna be?

the 6gb dominator 1600mhz are £150 now which is a nice price hopefully these wont be over £200 otherwise they'll be a bit too pricy.

ddr3 prices are falling nicely across the board, shame not x58 or core i7 price cuts, wont be upgrading until those fall a lot.

Well over £200 mate ;)

Have you seen "This week only" yet?
