** UK FIRST - BITFENIX RECON FAN CONTROLLER **

Mines attached to GPU heatpipe, On top of middle HDD, CPU heatpipe, Middle of case and top of case before exhausts

Only the gpu one seems to change also

Thanks for the feedback regarding PWM fans. Is there a particular extension cable i should for them? The fans acting as my exhausts probably wont reach the controller at the front of the case. OCUK stock these but seem kinda pricey for what they are.

Cables are plenty long enough i fed them through my roof of my case and it reached the rear exhaust fan easily. I think the packet came with 2 extension cables and 2 extra temp probes also

Im using a 690 II

pointers:
1. Allow Recon past your firewall, or just turn it off.
2. Installation must be done "Run as Administrator", or in the "real" windows 7 admin account.
3. Internet Explorer users.. /glares / Have to download the Chrome extension
4. Check if the service is turned on in the administrative tools found in the control panel.

If it's still not working, post here. Those were mainly the issues that came up, all of which wasn't really an issue with Recon, but their own stuff.

Having problems with the service crashing on startup sometimes and needing restarting, Not a big deal but i will try a re-install soon. Still loving the controller though

When you double click the service in admin tools, it should allow you to set it to automatically start, manually start, or delay start. have you played around with those?

Its on automatic start on my next restart im going to delay start it as i think my AV starting might be inter interfering with it

EDIT: 4 reboots no problems with delayed start

Just had a play when i was out by my smartphone via 3g and i could adjust and see temps on the screen perfectly. More than amazed by this product. Wouldnt be suprised if this is a major competitor to the AquaComputer things

Hey ther guys im interested in the auto feature on this. Can it turn the fans on and off and ramp up the fan speeds with temperature? Ive got a media centre PC and if possible it needs to be as quiet as possible.

Yes but probe location is a key thing with auto. Make sure its attached to a heatpipe/cooling fins etc with a nearby fan. Auto will adjust the fans automaticly for near silence why still cooling efficiently
