Uk import tax on speakers

Has anyone imported speakers from germany recently? struggling to work out a rough estimation as I probably have mine wrong. I used a free duty tax calculator.

Cost of speakers + 20% uk tax = £943.20
Import tax says 0% with the speaker commodity code so £0
Shipping is free so £0 (17kg total for 2 pairs of small speakers)
So total landed cost is £943.20 but this can't be right surely, what am I missing here? can anyone that imported speakers to uk recently breakdown what they paid as I know I'm missing something somewhere, they must have a way to bleed more money from me.

It's the same tax for pretty much everything else.

Unless you have specifically paid VAT, it will be the price + shipping x 1.23 (23%).

This is my formula for everyghing in the past, from guitars, to japanese knife, to figurines, to camera lenses. The 3% allows for duty/courier's handling fee.

The courier will charge you an admin fee which is typically fixed at £10-£20 depending on the courier.
