Anyone have any worried or input with how this will go down ?

will we get any delays or any issues for people with in store pre orders like my self ... game told me if lockdown does happen it will change to online for home delivery, but then will there be delays ?

i was worrying this too. Hope it’s ok for the 10th pickup :(
 
I put a £25 deposit down on a Series X at Smyths toys and this was there reply this morning to my msg asking them what they were going to do.....
Hi Grant. We are constantly monitoring the current situation and restrictions. Rest assure if changes are made we will be in touch via text or email with all customers with preorders with instructions and arrangements
 
I reckon deliveries will be allowed to continue and if retailers have any sense they will post out consoles that were due to to be collected.

As many retailers use distribution centres this will hopefully get around the fact that the physical retail sites need to close.

So I'm optimistic that things won't be delayed too much, if at all.
 
Also read this on twitter and someone confirmed it ..... Click and collect via time slots. I'm sure that's what Smyths are doing for full lock down in Ireland for the last 2 weeks.
 
I guess you’ll be able to change to delivery. Why would there be a delay? Fingers crossed they do some kind of click and collect though, hopefully from midnight.
 
You won't be able to C&C under full lockdown at non-essential stores, guess they will have to change to delivery as best they can or wait until they reopen... Probably not a straight forward process as the stock for stores may be handled quite differently to online orders.

So yes, Game etc will be able to do click and collect, or delivery.
 
So I called game and they said for series X they allowing people to pay in full from today till this Wednesday and they will be able to click and collect. They said for ps5 they will get the information tomorrow so likely they will follow the same process that game told me over the phone. So tomorrow I’m going down there to pay in full also told they will only be open on launch day for like 3 hours and anyone that hasn’t payed in full by Wednesday will have to wait till they reopen
 
So they want you to pay in full in the hope that they open do actually open for a bit on launch day... They should just let you pay on collection.
