Hi everyone,
I am taking the plunge into building my first PC.

I had begun collecting the parts to my basket when I noticed my PSU (be quiet! Pure Power 11 600W 80 Plus Gold Modular Power Supply) included an image of a EU two pin mains cable and not a UK one.
- Modular Cable Management: Yes - Voltage (Vac): 100 - 240
- Input current (A): 8/5

This is probably a super noob and dumb question but can't wrap my head around it, am i completely fine just buying this UK Kolink kettle plug to substitute for the EU one? Really dont want to fry my first build!

Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it!:)

Hi welcome

The correct cable should come with the psu, so you shouldn't have to buy a separate one. I would suggest the Phanteks AMP 650W instead though as it is fully modular and has a longer warranty of 10 years.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £85.49 (includes delivery: £10.50)

If for some reason the psu arrives with an EU plug then drop a webnote and they should send one out free of charge.

Hi Lee,

And thanks for the suggestion, i will take a look!

Also - if you are interested/ have the time, would you mind checking out my build to see if have missed any glaring issues regarding compatability etc? I would be super grateful.
Thank you

Is this a gaming pc ?

Also what is your budget ?

I agree with tamzzy that spending less on 'RGB' would leave a bit more for the gpu. An RTX 3050 isn't going to cut it at 2560 x 1440 resolution in modern games. I would want a 3060 ti or above for that.

While it should come with a UK power lead - I wouldn't bet on it - while the majority of the time they will I've had it before where it has only been the European one in the box or missing any kind of power lead with it just listed as optional accessory, etc. (despite sometimes being present in the product images) and so on.

what cpu cooler  and that bequite psu 650 only has a 5 year warranty on it

Some come with both EU and UK plugs, some come with one or the other. It's difficult to say what you'll get...
But you can buy one for about £3-£5 quid, or if a UK retailer you could hound them into sending you a UK one if not supplied depending on how bothered you are.

I've actually collected a few spares over the years so I don't really care, but you should get a UK one if buying from a UK shop.

I'd expect it to come with an EU cable only due to my be quiet! Dark Power 12 1000W from OcUK not coming with a UK one. Thankfully I had a spare as nowhere on the listing did it state this.
