Hey All,

Currently with UKFSN and use around 25gb per month all together.

I am looking at moving over to UK Online due to poor service at UKFSN at the minute.

I mainly use my connection for gaming so want low pings, if someone could do a ping or tracert to bbc.co.uk that would be great.

Also what are speeds like on newsgroups as I am looking at using that from time to time aswell, may download the occasional torrent aswell.

Does it sound like UK Online is for me?

Any speedtests, ping tests etc will be really helpful.

Thanks, Sam

Ive been on ukonline a few years and gaming, newsgroups etc has been fine.Aslong as your in an LLU enabled exchange area i reccomend them,20 quid for unlimited 8meg.

Thanks for that.

Do the speeds drop much during peak hours (8pm till 12pm) as I am currently on UKFSN and during those hours speeds drop dramatically.

Not that I've ever noticed - I've found my speed to be stable.

I am with them and it is very good. Can't honestly remember the service going down in the 18months I have had it

UKonline LLU is very very good. And, realistically any way, you don't have to worry about download limits at all. (There's some sort of FUP stating that they'll start getting concerned if you regularly download over 500gigs a month, but that's it!)

:S

I am on UKOnline 2mb for £20 :S

Just ordered upto 8mb and it cost me £19.99 a month, does that mean I am on LLU instead of BT equipment?

Also they have moved the free connection charge forward to the 31st of May so I didnt have to pay the £25 fee either.

Its all looking good :D

Ukonline aren't accepting new "residential" customers are they?

They recently announced they were heading in a new "commercial only" direction.

UK Online (www.ukonline.net), one of the brands within the BSkyB/Easynet group has today announced a shift from consumer to a 'dedicated micro business provider' targeting the small business market. Since the purchase of the Easynet group by BSkyB, the Sky Broadband service aimed at consumers has taken the country by storm, challenging companies such as Virgin Media for the triple-play television-broadband-internet market.

Perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself!?!?

They were good but could only offer us more than 2Mbit on their LLU network which we couldnt get. So we moved to Aquiss.
