UK UK PS3s getting ITV and C4 streaming this week

4OD is a bit disappointing.

If your 4od icon is missing, go to your Account Information and Billing details, enter your password, cancel and go back to the XMB.
4od icon will appear. Had this last night, I had the ITV player icon, but no 4od. that fixed it for me.
On another note, didn't think much to it TBH. It stuttered at times, then I was watching a show on 4od and half way through told me not enough memory and I had to quit the browser.
Sony need to update their browser and flash player if you ask me. Stll, nice idea if it does work.
I can't get BBC iplayer to work correctly either. Seeing as I changed my HD to a WD 500GB there is apparently a fault that causes the bbc iplayer to skip and pause badly with these user fitted drives..
oops.. Oh well, still got my laptop for catchup TV.. lol

Tried 4OD quickly yesterday and the latest episode of misfits was on there, as well as episode 1 & 2 of season 2 (The current episode of the series is episode 5 so no idea where 3 and 4 are/were).
Only watched a bit, there was an advert before the show began, no idea if there are adverts midway through the shows/episodes? Quality was easily watchable imo, seemed better than iPlayer quality.

The problem is that the home hub is gash.
You can't even set up the ps3 to dmz if you assign it a static ip -.-

That's only a issue with western digital drives.
It has something to do with the heads parking when not in use which causes the stuttering.

Curious I have a WD drive and rarely notice any stuttering on iPlayer
- new one to me...Have noticed a small bug with 4OD where if you watch another show it seems to just show a blank screen with sound - easily fixed by stopping and restarting it though...
4OD only seems to have a single unskippable ad at the start - nothing inbetween...

ITV player seems lower quality res than 4OD and BBC Iplayer videos. Maybe it's just me but it does look poorer.

Cool watched family fortunes on itv player last night. Can't stand the adverts though !!
The only reason I'm using it is because it was free along with my Fibre installation, now I'm beginning to see why. May need to invest in a new router soon.
