What on earth has happened to ukfsn? Joined them about 2 years ago on their upto 8mb service and I was really impressed with the service and customer support was second to none in my opinion. You could ring them and within minuites if not less you would be greeted by someone who was both helpfull and knowledgable and able to sort things without too much fuss.
However in december they offered to move me onto their up to 24mb llu service which seemed like a good idea at the time. Jeez was I wrong!
I dont think I have managed a stable connection for more than 3 hours.I've been trying to contact their customer support daily to sort things out and only once been able to contact them by phone and was told to try a different router and get back to them if the problem was not resolved.
been trying to contact them for over a week now with no joy(both phone and email).I have now sent them an email requesting my mac code as I've had enough. It's not so much the connection problems that frustrate me, it's the fact they can't provide suitable support to sort it out.
The only real support an advice I've managed to get is from you guys here!
much appreciated by the way.
I'm thinking of moving to sky upto 24mb as its only £10pm(got sky subscription). anyone using sky, or any advice on a good isp with reliable customer support, your views would be appreciated.I'm connected to the langley mill exchange if that makes a difference on who to choose.
one other thing, if I have problems obtaining a mac code what can I do about it?
sorry for the long rant and thanks for any input.

like I said, sorry for the rant (and any poor grammar):)

And yes I am certainly looking for a new provider.

you need to contact Entanet direct for support, look at your bills for the support number, they are UK based and 24 hour. I personally have never had a problem.

As said, phone Entanet, I was with UKFSN about 2 years ago before I moved onto an LLU connection. When ever I had an issue I went direct to Enta.

ukfsn llu service is c&w, not through enta so enta probably wouldn't be able to help even if they wanted to.
still waiting for a reply to my email(3 days now).
If I don't get a response soon is there any other way to get my mac code?

sky were offering 6 months free internet on their 20mb service, the offer has now ended but I gave them a ring and they said they would still do the offer as I was a sky tv subscriber. I don't think theyll hold the offer too long though.

just rang enta and as I thought, theres nothing they can do unfortunatley

When I was with UKFSN you could get a MAC automatically by going into your UKFSN control panel (not Enta's control panel) and clicking the "Get MAC button" - then you automagically get one. Don't know if that's still the case.

I thought I'd seen a request mac code somewhere on their site before, but I've had a look and can't seem to find it now.

still no email reply!!

I too was with Ukfsn until I got annoyed by their complete
lack of any kind of support. You can Login to ukfsn site
and request your Mac through it but it took about 5 days
for mine to appear.
other than that send an email to
[email protected]
with your phone number and tell them u already requested one from ukfsn
but they were useless at getting it to you.

as said above, I can't seem to find on their site how to request a mac code,
and enta are no longer responsible for the service as I am now on the llu service which is c&w.Still getting no reply from ukfsn:mad:

If I have no joy contacting them, Is there any other way to get my mac code or can I sign up with a new isp without one?

just tried to Email them again and now getting a message undeliverable message. This is really getting beyond a joke!

Go to ukfsn site
Click my account , enter your details
Go to My Adsl , its one left side , click it

Top Menu MYADSL , mouse over go down list to REQUEST MAC
Click it , then marvel as it takes days to get to you

User friendly NOT :-)
