Hi all,

I am getting a bit annoyed with ukfsn at the moment, the speed at which i conect are so random, between 1600kb/s & 6500kb/s, regardless of traffic or peak times, i can do a speed test and then do another 5min later and its completely changed. There is no happy medium.

Also the support is crap & very rude, and i get kicked off without being told for downloading. Fair enough if they give you notice (which they claimed to have done!)

Anyway i have come across adsl24, same package, same price, much easier control panel, and a morre professional look bout them. has anyone had any run ins with these?

Good / Bad points?

Also any other options for broadband packages, need atleast 10 - 15+ dwnload limit, 8mb, and below £20 (lower the better!).

I am not in cable or sky areas either!

Thanks

I know these are also by entra, however would it be possible they have a better sever etc?

They are both entanet resellers so if you are having slow speeds moving from one to another may not fix that. Sounds like you may have to speak to enta directly about the speed issue!

hmm

firstly do you sync between 1600kb/s & 6500kb/s, or is that your download speed?

secondly they dont kick anyone off for downloading, so you are wrong there

thirdly there have been some problems last night and this morning which may be the cause, check out forum at thinkbroadband.com

yea it was fixed at some stage between last night and this morning but its gone again.
been with adsl24 for a month now and its been great with no speed reductions and have never been kicked.pings in my games have went from 60-70 with aol to the low 20s.bar this minor blimp ive been more than happy

Well i had my connection suspended, thats what i meant by getting kicked off. But without any warning? I guess i am in the wrong for dwnloading torrents. but never have i had that from other providers?

are you sure? i've never heard of them suspending anyone, and if you download more then your cap, you simply end up paying more, theres no disruption to the service

perhaps post on here

http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=entanet&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0

where you should get a response from someone from the ISP

Defiantely wrong that, ive never heard of them suspending anyone either, UKFSN here and had no problems at all downloading torrents, UKFSN dont care what you do, they don't traffic shape, nowt, ive just been reading that big thread over at Think BB, never had any of those probs, didnt know they were having probs as mines been fine all weekend, if your going to move to ADSL24 then your going to get the same probs, as as said above all Enta resellers are the same, your still on Enta regardless of who your on, you may have something wrong with your connection. :)

I,m not with an Enta service ,but from what i know you,ll be getting the exact same service ,just a different reseller,so every Enta product will be the same,so i would think theres a problem with your line etc ,might be worth looking at that first before jumping ship ;) or going for a non -Enta service,in which case you must make sure its not a bad one ! a good example of a good non-Enta isp is Fast.co.uk not cheap ,but very highly rated on forums .

I've been with ADSL24 for a couple of months now, service has been fantastic and support is great too- asked them to turn off interleaving on my line and that was responded to in 10 minutes and BT turned it off that night.

The sync issue will be a problem with your phone line, not with your ADSL provider and that would require you to phone BT to complain about, or you could try thorugh your ISP.

Yes i agree with theses comments ,if you want the interleaving turned off ,how do u do that , did you just email them ? asking for it to be turned off ? and how do u know if its turned on in the first place ?

I don't know about other Enta resellers, but it says in the Aquiss control panel. Otherwise the signs are very obvious, 30-50ms ping compared to 10. :D

You just choose within the control panel that you log into to access your account details on ADSL24's site :)

My router told me that interleaving was on, and also you can see the status of it in the ADSL24 control panel, it was simply just a case of raising a support ticket through their system.

Pipes are getting hammered now, all going red around 2mb, theres still loads of ppl having major issues, but ive absolutely nothing all weekend, really  as everything is working for me.

EDIT: Going green again now, and picking up. :D
