UKFSN users in plz

Looks like i could be buggered according to everyone over at ThinkBroadband, if you get your MAC code now (before 1st Feb), but you dont get migrated till after the 1st, then you have to pay the rest of your contract off, as you would still be on AOL on the 1st Feb, so accepting the new Terms and Conditions, and my activation is the 2nd Feb, surely thats not right though is it.

No, surely if you get your MAC before the 1st Feb then thats ok, as you have got till the 1st Feb to ask for a MAC if you want to leave with no penalty.

Im sure its if you want to leave you have to get your MAC, and use it by 1st Feb, otherwise if you ask for your MAC after that, then you will have to pay off the rest.

EDIT: Its ok, it doesn't matter if the migration takes place after the 1st Feb as your order has been confirmed before then, so you don't need to pay off the rest of your contract even if the migration takes place a couple of days after. :)

Would have only cost me about £175 to pay the last off, but still thats not the point.

Just switched today, went flawless, turned my PC on, no net, so went into my Router config, put in UKFSN username/password, put in the Primary/Secondary DNS servers, clicked Apply, job done, getting a solid 6mb

i just got mine too.

however

I'm synced at 7128 or something, but download like i was just on 2mb.

My friend also on ukfsn has found something on the ukfsn website that says we have to wait 72hrs/10 days and have a stable connection inthat time for the max stuff to happen

so i guess its just a waiting game?

i got solid 6mb for thew first day or so but then it went down to about 5.5

Yup will sort itself out when i switched over too UKFSN my speeds were capped at 2 meg for a day or so then went back to normal 4 meg speeds, if you have come from a MAC i doubt you will have to wait the 10days tbh.

Im syncing at 7648, which is what i was syncing at on AOL when they put me on MAX to get the 4mb, its brilliant so far, glad i switched

The new COS about the FUP is out now for AOL, they say its still unlimited, but then they say if you use to much which they find excessive then they throttle yer, they may not even let you know you've used to much, they will just throttle you, so you will only know when yer speeds drop, Peak times vary but are currently every evening except Friday and Saturday, so they can change them whenever they like to, blimey glad im off, they can move the goalposts whenever they like.

Supposed to be in the My Account, and under the ADSL heading, may not be finished updating your account though yet, as i cant get my usage either, i just get a message saying that over the next few days all the options will become available, got a mate on Aquiss and he said he couldn't get his usage till a couple of days after, so they probably need to get that up and running for you just like mine, unless you've been on them a while, in which case its probably there now for you. :)

Oh yeah i saw a usage on the enta billing site, but didnt know if that one only shows how much you used at the end of the month, like a grand total, if that one updates on a daily basis as well then ill check that for now. :)

Been with UKFSN since 1/1/07 and had no trouble at all and solid 6.2meg connection, does drop every so often after 10 oclock due to heavy leechers.

Well this is my first experience of the 10pm drop, expected performance for me is 2.2mb at the mo as im on Global Switch 1, but thats fine, i can't see why everyones kicking off, it started to rise a bit as well now. :)
