I'm making a list of software that works and known workarounds for whatever is possible. So post any software in the following format:

Battle Field 2 : Known Problems:
Q,1) You have been kicked by punkbuster for lack of O/S Privileges.
A,1)You need to run BF2 in Administrator mode, Right click BF2 icon and select "Run As Administrator"
Q,2)Screen crashes at login screen, this is due to a connection problem
A,2 part1)Check any firewall is not blocking BF2
A,2 part2)try starting BF2 from the cd, This has cured the problem in some cases, however you can't do this and run in administrator mode. To get round this open "Control Panel\User Accounts" and select "turn User Account Protection off"
A,2 part 3)Vista is having problems with some routers, remove router and connect directly to the internet
