We are proud to announce that our mighty "ultima scarab crysis" has won the silver award at vortez!

Overall, we feel that this system boasts high quality components and it is well put together. The cable management is great, just like every other OcUK rig we have looked at in the past. Due to the noise and the non 'GHz Edition' GPU, we feel that it is worthy of our Silver award. The system is rock solid and we have no negative comments to make about it. If it were a quieter system and it utilised a 'GHz Edition' GPU, it would most likely have creeped into the golden region of our awards. We here at Vortez understand that noise is subjective and it varies greatly as to what someone may perceive as 'too noisy', but it is too noisy for our liking to be called quiet. Other than that minor complaint, top work OcUK!

experience crysis 3 like it was meant to be, with the "ultima scarab crysis" system. built and designed from the ground up to play crysis 3 at maximum settings. based around the versatile amd 990fx chipset, the "ultima scarab crysis" uses an amd fx-8 8350 cpu, with eight core technology you can exploit the extra available power to your advantage. overclocked and guarenteed to a solid 4.60ghz, you can extract every ounce of performance out of this monsterous cpu. with high clock speeds come great scalability with the graphics cards for maximum fps. outfitted with 16gb of ddr3 patriot viper 3 "venom red" memory running at a swift 1866mhz, plenty quick enough to allow you to multitask faster than ever before.

we have included a seagate 1tb hdd for storage duties as standard however we would recommend upgrading to having an additional 120gb ssd in tandem for a boot drive. with the os installed on the ssd you can enjoy lightning fast boot times, instant game loads and seamless data transfers. the large storage drive allows you to back up all your game saves, music, videos and other media with ample capacity.

the party piece to the "ultima scarab crysis" is the amd radeon hd 7970 boost 3gb. with the option to crossfire for the ultimate in graphics performance, they will will literally melt away the frames and deliver a truley cinematic dx11 gaming experience.

Indeed! Not much to fault on it tbh.

We are looking into quieter fans and offering OC edition cards.

We do take all feedback onboard and like to better our products with it :)

It seems so. Just checked out their other full systems reviews and there's some more OCUK system reviews as well (that you're obviously aware of, the systems in question now boast a Vortez award on the picture, ha-ha):

Overclockers UK Ultima 9550i Tyrannosaur MKIII Review:

Vortez said:
Pros
+ Quality component choice
+ Excellent packaging
+ Excellent gaming performance
+ Very quiet
+ Stable and tidy
+ Very fast loading times

Cons
- RAM specifications
- Higher GPU VRAM expected
- HDD capacity

The cons: "** UPDATE ** OcUK has taken into account that some areas could be tweaked, memory speed for this system has been adjusted to 16GB 1866MHz, HDD storage drive is now 2TB and PSU is now TX 850 Modular. In our view, this is significant and we commend OcUK for making these changes."

OcUK Titan Prodigy Polar Review:

Vortez said:
Pros
+ Looks stylish
+ Compact and easy to transport
+ Excellent hardware specifications
+ Very good performance
+ Pre-clocked GPU/CPU
+ Reasonably priced

Cons
- Cable Management
- Could be quieter

The cons on all the OCUK systems reviews are mainly minor stuff, how would you even go about dealing with improving the cable management in a Prodigy case anyway? There's not much room to do so.

Vortez said:
The only area for improvement we can think of is the cable management which could have been arranged more neatly – although we appreciate the Prodigy chassis isn’t the easiest to work with in terms of cable management options, there are limited places to store cables. Noise wasn't a major issue but the H80 did emit a buzzing noise which is well documented around the web. An alternative may have been better.

By the way an unrelated question, NathWraith do you intend to sell pre-built Haswell systems when Haswell is eventually released?

The system is rock solid and we have no negative comments to make about it. If it were a quieter system and it utilised a 'GHz Edition' GPU, it would most likely have creeped into the golden region of our awards.

No negative comments to make, followed up by a negative comment.

To be honest there's not that many cons a ready built computer can have unless they're to review each component individually. Cable management/noise/power etc are the only things that can be criticized

Well I don't think the H80i is noisy at all and the gpu kicks A**e IMO that's why I bought it .....

And yes it looks awesome !!!

+1

H80i is very quiet for me. It works very well too. The only Issue I have with it is the LED's stop working after a few weeks. I've been through 6 H80i. I'll find one that'll work perfect. Just got to keep trying;)
