Ultima Warlord Overclocking

Hi guys.

I bought an Ultima Warlord in August which is a 3.2HGz clocked to 3.8GHz. Now I setup the machine with WinXP 2002 SP2 no problem and it showed 3.8GHz on My Computer Properties. Obviously WinXP doesn't recognise the 4GB RAM it only shows 2.7 that isn't the problem really.

I did a format and rebuild over the weekend (virus) now it only shows 3.2GHz. Is there something I've missed in the rebuild or something that needs to be set in the Award BIOS? I had to reset the BIOS Safe settings when it wouldn't startup a couple of weeks ago.

Or is there anything I can download to check the CPU speed just to confirm what its saying? I download a program 8 years from AMD for my old computer that told me the actually speed. I'm not sure if it will work on the newer processor. I've search AMD but nothing shows up.

Download cpu-z, this will show the current cpu speed.(http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php)

If you had to-do a BIOS reset then you would have reset your overclock.

I realised I downloaded cpu-z a couple of years ago but I had forgotten about it. Yes cpu-z said it was 3.2GHz so I went in the BIOS and changes the MB Intelligent Tweaker (M.I.T) - CPU Clock Ratio to [x19] 3800MHz and it now shows correctly 3.817GHz. I didn't know it was that easy to overclock the cpu. I thought you needed special software.

After I first had the computer I installed everything and everything was working ok. I went into the Adward v6.00PG BIOS and wrote every setting down just in case anything should go wrong and I have to reset.

I had problems with WinXP again. I've had viruses so I've done a few more formats and rebuilds again.

I had to set the BIOS back to Safe-Defaults Settings to get Windows to start. After I had set everything up I changed it back to CPU Clock Ratio to [x19] 3800MHz and it still would startup unless I get down to [x17.5] 3500MHz then it would startup.
