Hi guys,

I've got a bit of a challenge for you

My brother's PC has recently packed in and won't work at all anymore. He is looking for a new PC but has very little money.

His budget is anything up to £250 (bit low isn't it

). He doesn't need a mouse/keyboard/monitor/speakers. He plays a few games but nothing too demanding graphically, the only requirements probably would be a 160gb hard disk and a decent enough graphics card.

P.S. He won't be overclocking, only using it for word processing/light gaming.

This is about as close to the budget as I can get it without dropping the graphics card to something like a 7600GT, admittedly it would probably still do for his uses but the X1950pro is significantly better.

A bit of an old post, but I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on how well this would play older games, e.g. battlefield 2, battlefield 2142, half life 2 ? Just a bit out of touch with the whole gaming aspect of PCs and decided to browse around before making a separate post.

It'll be absolutely fine with those. My sig spec can handle them fine and it is worse than either of those quoted above.
