Ultimate General: Gettysburg

Will definitely get this, It's a very interesting battle with 3 very distinct and different phases over the three days, I've played many different interpretations of the battle and always ready to play more :)

Absolutely love the animation of the company/regiment blocks powder smoke when opening fire :)

Modder named Darthvader for the Total War series Franchise created this game. Very good at making Total wars mods especially when involved wit the ai.
 
Is anyone still playing this? I've picked it up for £8 over the holidays and am absolutely loving it! It's like a better, albeit less predictable, version of Syd Meier's Gettysburg. the map is stunning and the tactics used and variety of options at your disposal truly make it seem like you're Robert E Lee (or Meade, if you swing that way...)

I hope the team that made this tackle some other American Civil War battles.

Definite 9/10 from me!
 
I just noticed this game over the christmas period too. Great little game so far (3hrs play so far).

I was peeved off about one thing though. Playing as the rebs, I took culps hill in one engagement then took round top in the next and also getting cemetery ridge but for the next engagement it offers me 3 options, attack culps hill, the round tops or go through the middle. I was hoping it kept your positions on the battlefield up to date like it does with the unit strengths and conditions. Not too much of an issue though, just means I have to take the same ground again :(
