Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 - Single player impossible?

Has anyone actually EVER completed this on single player? I can get up to Mortaro but he's just impossible. The AI in this game is a joke, it has been described as 'robotic', it will block and dodge every single attack no matter how spontaneous or fast it is.

I usually play Scorpion and I'm fairly good with him, I can do most of his moves and combos, but Mortaro is immune to my spear, as well as dealing about 30% of my hp in one hit, if I get in melee range he just throws me even if I'm blocking, and he just blocks 95% of my attacks.

How the hell are you supposed to do this? Seriously I want to punch whoever the hell programmed this AI.

It sucks in single player because of the AI. It's written to know what move you're going to do as soon as you start entering the button combo

Played this on my DS - jesus christ its hard!!!

The last boss took about 7854524356789 goes, extremely annoying!!!!

Honestly, Montaro isn't so bad. Shao Khan is beyond annoying though, easily one of the most frustrating bosses I think I have come up against

I just don't know how to beat him. I've only beaten him once in one round with Lu Kang, simply by spamming the flying kick, but it just comes down to luck whether or not he blocks it. If by some miracle he doesn't block many in the first round he will definitely block them all in the second, because that's the way the AI works, it steps it up insanely after they start losing.

The one thing i hated about the mk series....the bosses always had some gimmicky way to beat them, it was never just a straight fight. :mad:

like i say just keep jumping away from him but using high kick and you often tap him taking away a little bit of health, then when your at the left or right ost corner jump towards him and its touch and go if you get hit but then repeat.

I did it with Sub Zero and didnt take a hit

This is the same with street fighter 2 I'm pretty sure I don't remember these games being so hard when I was younger
