the page doesn't want to load =(

havn't there been pics of italian police cars which are Lambos though? (gallardo iirc)

There's loads of supercars done up as police cars used for publicity, but this claims to be a real police car in everyday use. I'm not convinced though, the nitrous is an odd addition..

Only in America would you get an undercover Police car with POLICE written on the side!!!

How about having a completely stock looking car, then you can do the sneak up on people thingy in the day too!

They're called slicktops over there - cars with normal markings, just without a lightbar on the roof. They've usually got other lights to make up for it though.

More worrying, a guy on another forum i go on drove past a row of four unmarked black Evo FQ-340's all in the same layby a few weeks back...

i must admit im a bit shocked at this too...... ive seen 3 in the past 2 weeks the last being just yesterday, chasing someone up the a127 (not me lol)

why are they wasting money on Evo's now?

No doubt the police have taken the car off someone, drug dealer or whatever and have now started to use it for themselves?

Seems odd for the police to spec something like this up tbh.

So have unmarked cars in this country. Normally lights in the grill or around the rear view mirror. My point is why would you go to the efforts of making a car that can go that fast and catch people speeding etc, and then stick police signs on it and the ram bars making it useless during the day...? It doesnt make sense.

Because they're quick, and when they're pursuing criminals who have often stolen similarly-quick cars, it's useful to be able to keep up. It also goes without saying that the criminal fraternity soon find out what cars the police are using, and it can - and does - deter vehicle crime as a result.

It's not a waste of money if it gets someone their car back and gets one or more criminals arrested.
