Pretty much. I don't think Sony need help with knowing what to add, the user community already provides that. They need some smart techie guy to do the coding part!!

Any man with half a brain and photoshop could do what the link shows!!

God, most people who post on official forums are fools, does he not know outside the PS3 bubble. Every single idea the guy mentioned has been done on the Xbox360 from day one.

The Official Playstation forums are full of annoying people who seem jealous of the Xbox360 and the Xbox360 forums are full of stupid kids who haven't played anything else.

Yep, I can't stand them. The only reason they have any benefits is sometimes people will post something remotely informative in the form of a tutorial.
 
I *hate* that information bar - it's so ugly! Some orange crap that doesn't fit with the rest of the PS3 theme at all.

But I like how he did the ingame achievement notification, looks pretty swish!
 
You can change your PS3 themes though. Black would be a bit too miserable and blue is run of the miss. Orange is the colour of the RSS feed on the PS3, so I don't think it looks too bad.
 
Saw that post yesterday. It's nice to see someone who's put everyones thoughts down and shown some example. It shows he's spent a lot of time on it.
 
I suppose you could say that official and one-console forums are pretty much the same. Apart from the obvious officialness >.< but they generally have the same attitudes and ignorance.
