The Strix B350 works very well if our 8 Pack RAM, it will drop in at 3200MHz without issue, 8/16 core/threads processor, very fast memory represents another total bargain and a setup we highly recommend for the more hardcore gamers and overclockers.

You could substitute the memory for the regular 3000MHz TeamGroup 16G kit at £149.99, or even the regular 2400MHz 8G kit at £74.99 if wanting to reduce cost.

We'd also recommend the Asus Hero board for those wanting to extract every last ounce of Mhz/Performance from their setup at which point the 8 Pack memory is an absolute must.

With this level of power we recommend VEGA/1070Ti/1080Ti, which are all currently on offer in the Black Friday section. :)

Also remember the huge discounts on the 1800X and Threadripper 1950X, but the above is what I would recommend. :)

Also I encourage members to put their recommendations and baskets forward to help others. :)

Loving the black Friday deals. I am wanting to build a computer for my girlfriend how does the below spec look? The only thing I am stuck on is deciding what case to go for. Is the below case easy to build in? This will be my second ever build I've done. She is wanting to play Player Unknown, GTA5 etc. Will it do for 3+ years?

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £933.58 (includes shipping: £14.70)

Cannot fault that, plenty of performance at a good price and quite future proof being AM4. :)

Just trying to convince myself its worth the money coming from a 4690k...

If you play single threads older games, not much so. If however your doing multiple task, video editing, modern gaming or even gaming whilst having the computer do stuff in the back ground then the Ryzen 7's are very good at that. :)

Thanks for the speedy reply :). How much better would things be if we went for the elite tier instead of the better value tier I selected?

If your gaming I'd say Ryzen 5 is your better bet, its a great all rounder and saves you money.

If your doing a lot of multitasking, video editing or something that particular needs more cores, then Ryzen 7 for sure. But if not don't waste your money, maybe just grab some faster 8 Pack memory with the better value tier. :)

No real advantages having an m.2? I am a bit of a Samsung fanboy tbh.

No idea if this fits in the B350 Strix, but these things are epic fast:

Yep that will blitz gaming, 8600K is mental quick and should see around 5GHz overclocked and our price on the 8600K OEM is very strong and we've got around 1000 in stock, but were selling 100+ a day, very popular CPU, but I think our price is very strong in the UK on this Intel processor for sure. :)

8 Pack memory again is a perfect companion, we designed it specially for Ryzen and Intel Coffee Lake. :)

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £406.47 (includes shipping: £10.50)

If this is to build into existing kit as follows:
Antec 900 case, with a reasonable PSU and currently a 760GTX, Samsung SSD 128Gb plus back up 600GB normal drive. Win 10 installed on the HDD (from a Win 7 retail free upgrade so i should have a Win 10 retail licence now).
What else do I need to actually complete the build - thermal paste is the only thing I can think I dont have?
Ta

Yes thermal compound and don't think you mentioned a cooler for the CPU?

Yes Im wondering the same thing also.

Can you overclock on the B350 mobo's??

Yes you can overclock fine on B350, 3200MHz is now also fine. :)

370 really just gives more PCI lanes, SLI/CF support and maybe for the hardcore overclocker it will get a few extra MHz on CPU/RAM.

Of course feel free to spend the extra on more expensive motherboards, that is good for OcUK, but these were my personal recommendations to get the best bang for buck. :)

I have the 1800x and ROG Switch B350-F in my basket,

Just want to check I'd get the free game promotion if I bought these two items?

Well the CPU comes with Quake Champions, but I am not informed on the Asus deal so cannot advise on that sorry, will ask our motherboard PM to come in and comment.
