Hey,

Just built a system consisting of a Core Ultra 7 265K and Z890 Aorus Elite Wifi7 Board.

All boots up fine, However CpuZ and Windows is reporting only 6P+10E Cores...when it should be 8P+12E.

I've updated the Bios from F5 (Which was ancient) to latest F15 which apparently added a ton of microcode.
But still I'm missing 2P cores and 2E cores!

Any idea?

They all say the same thing,6P+10E

What i thought was weird is Hwinfo shows 4 more cores on that graph but they're not active.

I'm am using a windows install that was previously on a AM5 setup, Do you possibly think windows could be the problem?

Well, I've just reset bios to defaults again just in case but still the same 6P+10E.

il re-install Windows fresh and see if that sorts the issue, Maybe there could be something installed from the previous instillation on this Nvme that's AMD related that's causing this issue.

i mean i was going to re-install windows anyway, This was just a test boot up.

Il re-install Windows 11 and see if the problem persists.
Nothing every goes smooth for me! :D

It's fixed yay!
It was the old windows install causing the issue, now with a fresh install of 11 it's showing the full counts in windows, cpuz and hwinfo.
8P+12E & 20 Threads.
Appreciate the help & suggestions, thank you!
