Ultra wide for race sim choice dilemma

Hi, I’m awaiting my new sim pc to arrive and I’m now in the market for an ultra wide monitor to go with it.
I was sold on the samsung C49HG90 originally but have now been tempted by the ASU’s ROG Strix CG43VQ
Other than the slight size difference and marginal resolution gain on the Asus I can’t see a lot between them.
Anybody have any experience of either of these two monitors?

Can't answer that but what about a VR headset? Racing in VR is quite something.

Oh I’ll be definitely going the VR route, but do like the option of racing ‘outside’ too!

No experience of either but i like that Asus monitor the best, i use a 34" Dell ultra wide myself an and with racing sims it work great.

This seems a stupendous deal atm for £1000. Full array local dimming panel and proper HDR. Equivalent monitors go for £1750 minimum.

Just be aware that this model has cooling fan and can be quite noisy from reviews and it's VA panel so expect some ghosting.
