Hi,

At work I use a laptop connected to a monitor so I have 2 screens. WFH at present and only have one screen. If I were to get an Ultra-Wide monitor for home and connect to my work laptop via VPN would the maximum resolution I could get on the home monitor be the resolution of the laptop ?

Basically I'm thinking that getting the Ultra-Wide monitor would be pointless for what I am trying to achieve, hope that makes sense ?

Thanks

The laptop is still at the office connected to a 2nd monitor

I am at home using a desktop and connecting to the work laptop via VPN

Thanks

Thanks for the replies, all makes sense

Another consideration, can my home PC run the display at the correct resolution in general ?

Res is 3440 x 1440 and my video card is pretty old, its an AMD Radeon R7 200 series. Would that work ?

Ended up getting monitor, it's a beast !! And I can use it's full resolution via RDP to my laptop at work.
