I just went through the process and ended up with a AW3821DW. To me the G9 was just a bit too difficult to drive and not enough games support that aspect. Also it has a few issues ( but then what monitor doesn't?). The LG is great ... if you can actually find one. Both of the Alienware are great and look great too. I was actually about to buy the 34" when the 38" came out. My only doubt with yourself is whether you think the 3070 will be powerful enough for the AW3821DW. It is about 15-20% more difficult to drive than the AW3420DW. If I were you I would go for the AW3420DW PROVIDED you can get it at ~£700. It has been down that low so it should be possible. If you are really flush with cash at the moment or you can't get that price down then go for the AW3821DW. There are a number of threads about all of these monitors so plenty of information to help you choose.

hey thanks for the info very useful i did go for the 38 inch got it with a 260 pound discount so was 1039. I looked at some 4k bench marks an should be fine tbh i can oc my system will need to watch guides. And i will prob get a 3090 once i recover from this splurge .

I would recommend the G9, mine was a recent model and reading online most of the issues seem to be overcome.

Every game I’ve tried works flawlessly, most of them look awesome in 32:9, I don’t play competitive games online so mostly it’s single player exploration type games with my favourites Far Cry 5, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

FC5 looks awesome, HDR works a treat, colors are so vibrant the full screen is alive. I’m playing it through again as it looks so bloody good on my G9

Yes, the experience isn’t perfect as the G9 firmware is not right as windows HDR looks washed out and awful but guessing they will fix this soon.

Performance is fine on my 3080, usually have everything maxed out at 240hz

I just got myself the MSI Optic MPG341CQR and it’s fantastic. Mostly play FPS and the motion is very smooth and the picture quality is fantastic. I’m using a 3090 so my frame rate is 150+ on ultra settings on warzone, a friend of mine has the same monitor with a 2080ti and gets 130’s with everything in ultra

Thanks for all the replies i went with the Alien ware should be here Wednesday had to get a bigger desk an a mount to vertically mount my 2nd monitor il use for google youtube ect
