Anyone got a ultrawide 34" + that's IPS and will overclock? Trying to pick one from Overclockers but wasn't sure if some will oc. Ta

models which officially support overclocking would be the Acer Predator X34 (60 > 100Hz), Predator Z35 (144 > 200Hz) and Asus ROG Swift PG348Q (60 > 100Hz)

LG's freesync monitors can usually be overclocked through CRU an extra 5-15hz on average. Ive had the 29um57 which would OC 15hz from 60 to 75hz over hdmi, and the 34um68 which would oc from 75 to 85hz(freesync range was also extended to support this and worked flawlessly), it could actually go to 90hz but i would get out of range pop up even though the picture was perfect with no frame skipping.

X34 here and overclocks to 100hz no problem. TBH though Ive left mine at 75hz as once you crank up the settings on new games the framerates a lot closer to 75 than 100!

What exactly is is the difference between a monitor that natively supports 100/120/144hz etc and one you can overclock?

Me too, though I've settled at 85hz for quite a number of reasons that I won't bore people with here.

Also, on this monitor I find the perceptible difference in motion clarity between 85hz and 100hz pretty small. I noticed much more incremental improvement in motion clarity on my original TN rog swift when going 85-100, or 100-120 for example.

just wondering hope it wont be a still question will there monitor ever reach like 144hz - 200hz for example the asus PG348Q, or would it be the restriction of the TN panel....

have been trying to see if there is a new version but for someone it keep just showing this model, any know if there is anything in the pipeline.
